Treva Knight Cooper

Treva is a 28 year Pulaski County employee, starting in 1989, in the then Chancery Clerk’s office; in 2001 to Fifth Division Circuit Clerk and from 2008 to present in the Pulaski County Comptroller’s office.

Treva is very active in her church Ministry, St. Luke Baptist Church as well as with the athletic booster club at Mills High school.

Treva has served in several capacities with the Amateur Athletic Union since 1995, including, administrative assistant to the Boys Basketball District Chairman, administrative assistant to the National Treasurer, National tournament director and Executive Assistant to the AAU President. In addition to the above listed capacities, Treva also served on the Committee to re-write the AAU National code book in 2012. Treva has served as the Arkansas District Registrar since June of 2018.

The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by nearly 700,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers.
